The Foundation, committed to promoting Palestinian arts and culture on a global scale with a focus on impactful opportunities, partially funded “Omar,” a feature film directed by renowned Palestinian filmmaker Hany Abu-Assad. “Omar” is notable for being one of the first Palestinian productions entirely financed by Palestinians. The film received international acclaim, winning the Un Certain Regard Jury Prize (translated as “A Certain Glance” Jury Prize) at the Cannes Film Festival, along with eight other internationally recognized film awards.
